Elizabeth Burke Beaty - Owner and Director
With over 20 years of experience in the art world, Elizabeth Burke Beaty is an advisor and curator for individuals, galleries and institutions both nationally and internationally.
Co-founder of NYC's Clementine Galley in 1996, Ms. Burke is one of Chelsea’s "pioneer" dealers. For 12 years, the gallery exhibited emerging and established artists, and was directly responsible for launching and establishing over 20 artist's careers.
She has served on the graduate faculty at The School of Visual Arts in NYC and has taught and lectured at: Sotheby’s Institute of Art; the NYU Arts Administration graduate program; the New School University; Parsons School of Design; Fashion Institute of Technology; and Hunter College’s MFA program.
Selected achievements include:
-Curated and produced over 100 exhibitions, and many of these have received significant press in The New York Times, Art Forum, Art in America and Art News.
-Co-produced "ArtRock" on The Plaza at Rockefeller Center – an exhibition showcasing contemporary art to over 50,000 viewers per day.
-Served on the curatorial team for the innovative Altoids Curiously Strong Art Collection (owned by The New Museum of Contemporary Art, NYC) and served on the selection committee the first year.
-Served on the Advisory Board of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and has been a member since it's inception.
